Seventeen year ago today we had a miracle. After 3 hours of labor the one we had waited years for and prayed for and cried for had finally arrived. Chynell has been so much fun to have in our lives. She makes us laugh and is so full of hugs and kisses. I know my life is fuller because of having her in it.

Happy Birthday Baby girl….I pray you are always happy.

I love you!

Yesterday I had a follow up dr. appt. We did the blood work for my Epstein Barr, Diabetes, Immune System, Vit. D levels, Cholosterol and kidney function…all to check and compare to what the numbers were last Dec. We also talked about the still enlarged saliva gland in my neck. He wants to find someone who will do a needle biopsy on it, depending on what the numbers come back on the Epstein Barr. If things go by how I’ve been feeling the last few months then I think we will be happy with the results. So now we wait for a week or so for all the results.

So I’m floating in my pool enjoying my time relaxing in the sun and water …and I go to roll over on my raft and hit my ankle pretty hard on the pool ladder….yah it hurt but i soaked it in the water the rest of the time i was in the pool…but when i got out and took a shower i realized how much it hurt and it was swollen…I ended up in the ER finding out that I had bruised the bone. So now it’s 4-5 days of of ice, wrapped foot and keeping it up. GRRRR…..I’m pretty sure floating in a pool soaking it in the water constitutes elevated and iced….

Thursday night we had a *surprise* party for our youth pastor, Tim. Although he ended up knowing about it ahead of time..we all still played it off as a *surprise*..I think that was more fun than it actually being a surprise…add that with lots of homemade ice cream and cake and you have a great time.

Today Kevin’s College Sunday School class had a boat/ski trip. We went up Thursday and took the RV and got a spot and then today they all came up and spent the day in the water. Mark and Joanne Gates and Mark and Gail Tullier all brought their boats and skis and water toys and drove everyone around. What a blast!

I waited all day long for this. Kevin grew up skiing. You know how you just get one of those things in your blood and you just loves to do it. Well skiing is it for Kevin. The last time he skiied was 18 years ago. We knew he’d get a chance to do it today. I was so excited. The look on his face just about brought tears to my eyes. This was worth the whole trip for us.

4th of July…what a great day…we did nothing but hang around the house and relax during the day. That evening our family and several other families all met together at the home of some very good friends. We barbecued, had homemade ice cream and did a few fireworks. It was such a nice night.

I’m always saying how I am scrapbooking this day or that day. I thought I’d show you some of what I worked on last week. I love scrapping. It’s so relaxing to me. I get to look at past photos of our family and just relive those great memories as I work. Thank you God for providing me with the tools to do what I love for the family I love.
